Notice on Organizing Applications for the 2026 Qinghai Province Energy Storage Technology Breakthrough Project

The Qinghai Provincial Department of Science and Technology has issued a notice to solicit applications for the 2026 Qinghai Energy Storage Technology Key Research Projects. The projects focus on lithium battery safety, long-duration energy storage, and intelligent operations and maintenance. Each project can receive up to 500 million yuan in funding. The application deadline is 2026-8-31. Priority support will be given to research topics under the lithium battery safety track, including empirical studies on energy storage safety in high-altitude environments, thermal runaway prevention and control, and performance validation of fire suppression systems.
